We live in an old stone farmhouse on a smallholding in the heart of West Wales. In 2024, we began our beekeeping journey, which quickly blossomed into our small business, Bees And Quiet. We are passionate about using beeswax, aromatherapy essential oils, and other natural ingredients to create products that bring joy, relaxation, and comfort—or at the very least, smell lush!

In 2023, we made a bold move from England to West Wales, bringing our five-year plan to life in just one year. For Gareth, a rugby-playing farmer and proud Welshman, it was about returning to God’s own country. For me, it was about finally slowing down and finding a bit more balance in life. What I didn’t realize at the time was that I have an ADHD brain—always buzzing with ideas and energy, often tiring to live with, but also full of creativity and drive. Gareth, on the other hand, is one of the most peaceful and quiet people I know. So, here we are: I’m the ‘bees’, always busy, always buzzing, while Gareth is the ‘quiet’, bringing calm to our little world.

Together, we blend my busy, creative energy with Gareth’s peaceful spirit to craft products that reflect our journey. Bees And Quiet is a celebration of both sides—of the buzzing energy and the quiet calm—and we hope it brings a little bit of both into your life, too.
